Jane Austen Game Night

Jane Austen's birthday is in December. It's also when 3 of her novels were published. So, we're celebrating her with a card-based strategy game called Marrying Mr. Darcy. We'll also enjoy some lovely English tea, hot cocoa (what Jane would've called "chocolate"), and "biscuits" (cookies). Role-play a female character in Pride & Prejudice trying to get the best marriage partner for the highest points. Acquire the traits you need to gain the attention of your chosen one and hope to goodness that a scandal doesn't ruin your chances! Other games like Austen Match-Making will be available for those not brave enough to face the "marriage market" or those fleeing a proposal from Mr. Collins. This event is for young ladies and gentlemen who are "out" in society (Ages 14+). Regency era costumes or accessories encouraged (if you like) so don your pelise and gloves or your waistcoat and top hat.
