The Willow Springs
Tuesday Study Club

What is it?
Since 1926 a small group of women in Willow Springs has met for intellectual stimulation, friendly conversation, and personal development.
The Willow Springs Tuesday Study Club is a society of up to 20 members who study chosen programs together. Topics have ranged from history and travel to literature, the arts, and domestic skills like quilting and gardening. Members take turns acting as hostess and presenting programs on their chosen topics.
When is it?
The Club meets at 1:30pm on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, October through May; with annual parties for the Fall kickoff, Christmas, and at the end of the season in Spring. Meetings usually last about 2 hours.
Club Symbols & Colors
Flower: Hawthorn – The Missouri state flower represents hope.
Black: protection, remembrance, wisdom, prudence, and constancy

Gold: glory, light, value, and harmony
Who is it for?
The Willow Springs Tuesday Study Club is for adult women only. Women who enjoy reading, learning, travel, the arts, and getting to know other women in the community would be a good fit for the club. Membership is by invitation and new members are elected by ballot by the existing members. Membership is $5.00 annually.
Why is the library involved?
The Study Club makes a point to promote reading, literature, and lifelong learning; all of which align with the Willow Springs Public Library’s Mission “to enrich lives through universal access to information, lifelong learning, and literacy.” The Study Club has also been a longstanding partner supporting the library with the placement of memorial books upon the death of a club member or member’s relative.
