Adventure Begins At Your Library - Elementary Students

This week there are 2 program options! We have activites at library AND an excursion to Round Spring Cave north of Eminence, MO.

AT THE LIBRARY:

Elementary students will be making their own cave paintings and petrified "trees" and

we'll enjoy a fitting "underground" treat - Dirt Cups (with gummy worms of course!).

For more cave-related fun we'll have self-dircted activities at the library all week.

All ages are welcome to check out our mineral sample collection under the microscope and

we'll have a free instructions for a science project of how to grow your own cave crystals at home!

ROUND SPRING CAVE TOUR EXCURSION:

Round Spring Cave is part of the Ozarks National Scenic Reiverways National Park.

Participants must pre-register for this trip.

Recommended for ages 10+. Parental accompaniment required.

Travel to and from is on your own and we encourage participants to bring a picnic lunch to eat together at 12:00.

There will be 2 tour options: 10am and 2pm. Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to the tour.

Estimated return times: 2-3pm for the 1st tour and 4-5pm for the 2nd. Please get all the details and register at the library.

Space is available on a first-come basis. Only summer reading registrants and their parents may participate.
